One day last year when the idea of Campion & Daughters was in its infancy I spent the afternoon in the basement of Peta Smyth’s beautiful shop in Pimlico. As Nicky Haslam quoted ‘Peta Smyth’s rare and beautiful antique textiles provide not just unique furnishing materials but are also a source of constant inspiration’. That afternoon Peta had a couple of boxes of small pieces, which she left me with - I was in heaven spending two hours delightfully sifting through them all. The result was a small bounty of textile delights which we use in a lot of our work and on this very table. Pure textile alchemy.
